Josh, I loved your reading of the worms rhythm. I think I will post my own reading eventually and maybe speak more to the idea of how to render musical notation through the visual of words.
Yeah thanks for that! I would love to hear more of your thoughts on it but it was fun! I encouraged people to send you some recordings so maybe that will be some interesting feedback if you get any!
Ah, so happy to hear I made your week! Yeah what a lovely poem you had it just captured this feeling so well. And with name drops like Grundig thrown in I knew you had this appreciation for radio! (Or at least did your research! Haha)
If you ever want the clipped audio of that reading, happy to send it you if you want to use it for whatever reason.
It is a very nice group :) It feels to me like we are in a nice quite cafe with some steaming espresso in the background. Maybe I will try to record some of that ambient sounds for next time! :)
I think you are correct. In general when I try to force something, it never comes out well. When I just let the energy flow, I'm usually surprised what ends up on the page.
I have only been doing this for less than a year so I'm still quite new at this poetey thing haha.
Less than a year! I love how you’ve immersed yourself in it. That’s everything with poetry. I wrote my first poem at age nine. It was about my shoes. :)

Wow! The intro was like a psychedelic trip!
Yeah haha. Greg Whitehead, this guy. I can't imagine doing this in the 80s with a razor blade and tape.
Great reading of the poems Josh. I couldn't help mentioning the intro while I listened.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I was watching the live stream, but it unfortunately kept crashing so I missed most of it.
It's been a goal of mine to get on one of your poetry tapes. You just made my week. Absolutely love what you're doing on here.

Always a treat on a Friday, to spend it with good people and good poetry. Loving the experimentation with the musicality of words.
You're. The. Best. Josh.
Also you picked one of my favorite poems from Luminae. So rad to hear you read it!
Happy weekend!

Oh fun music! I have some music friends I can get some lofi underscore that's not a problem 😀 I'll try it out next week.
I'll send you the clip!
Yeah, I find it hard to let go for the leap. I either have to very full of energy or passion or idk it's difficult for me.
I've had some success meditating and then “letting my other self” take the wheel, but I can't say it's something I'm very good at, yet.
Fun lofi! I’m so excited!
I think each poet has their thing you know? What dares them. And it’s a different dare for each of us. Just a thought.
