We had an evening of wild poetry at the Lyric Cinema. We danced naked in front of mirrors and jumped into rivers — all through poetry of course.
I read the wild poetry of William Carlos Williams, Kabir, Rumi and I picked three wild poems of my own.
For the first, Ripples to the Sea, I mixed in some trumpet. I switched between muted and open and the sound difference came out really nice.
I followed an amazing hip hop artist, Ananada Rose and there was just a great atmosphere as always. I haven’t picked up the trumpet in a while and I think I’m going to fold it in more — it really adds a layer to the performance.
Enjoy the recording!
