With love, goodbye!

An antiwar nursery rhyme.

A
  dull green
           shell screams
                            through
                                     the sky —
with a handwritten note 
      signed "with love, goodbye!"
Gracefully gliding, 
     it found a small head,
who didn't feel loved — 
     because she was dead.
