Typewriter Poetry
I got a typewriter (a media poem)
The above was typed in a single session, without edits.
Poetry on a typewriter has the sound
of bells and gears,
of letters striking with intention.
Weak fingers are not welcome here
nor those with dainty ears.
It has the finality of a play,
the passing of an orchestra,
the moment of a kiss.
One chance to make an impression.
The ending bell a welcome notification,
a reward for a lasting line.

the rhythm is very pleasing. so peaceful. i want a typewriter now lol
Very nice, Josh, it's so interesting what you've done with this one. When I used to be on IG I would first type my poems onto parchment paper using a typewriter, then post pics of them to Instagram. They did really well, people bought the real ones. Isn't it strange how works of art can be digital images of analog things.
